(COVID 19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy
Regis Holistic and Beauty
As from Monday 13th July we will finally be opening our doors again to welcome you back in. Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and therefore we have implemented several changes which we would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been closed we have completed a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. We have also updated all our Risk Assessments and Policies to ensure they are Covid ready.
If any of our staff feel unwell or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
EXCITING NEWS……We have a new booking system. This can be accessed via the Regis Holistic and Beauty Facebook page. We can of course still assist with bookings over the phone but cannot allow drop in appointments at this time.
At the moment we are unable to offer any facial treatments. This includes any facial waxing, ear candling, lash and brow treatments. The booking system has been updated so that you can only book the treatments that we can safely offer you.
Visiting the Salon
We are required to log your name and contact details when you arrive for your appointment. These details are purely held for the governments NHS Test and Trace system and will be destroyed after 21 days.
For your safety and to maintain social distancing, we ask that you attend your appointment on time and please arrive alone. Please do not turn up early for appointments as there is currently no waiting area. Also, If you are late we may not be able to see you but you may still be charged for the appointment time. We will, initially, be operating a closed door policy. So please wait to be let in. This is to ensure minimal contact with other clients. Please be aware that the salon toilets are currently for staff use only. We are unable to offer you hot drinks but can provide bottled water.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, toilets, door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products and hand sanitiser gels are available for use in every treatment room and at the front of the salon. All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ and government guidelines for your safety.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be used, as required, during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves/facemasks/aprons where appropriate.
We can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority and can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at a minimum of 60 degrees C.
We have carried out a risk assessment on the treatments we offer so that we can confidently continue to provide them safely. If any have been temporarily removed, we will notify clients and offer an alternative where possible.
During your treatment
We understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in according to Government and NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment. We also require you to use the hand sanitiser provided and then wash your hands using the nail brushes at the back of the salon.
We will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments, please let us know and we will do what we can to resolve any issues.
After your treatment
In order to avoid handling of cash, we would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by card or in advance using bank transfers.
These procedures have been implemented for your safety and ours. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
